The owner wanted a new game for guests who do not play escape rooms every week. He wanted:
  • a format for families, students, couples and companies.
  • a game that can be played again and again.
  • a room that runs without a game master.

  • Installation and testing: about 4 weeks.
  • Opening: spring 2024, as the first Quizy in Hungary.
Limiti di età
No age limit for families: no scary scenes. Mystique Room recommends Quizy from age 14 for school groups.
Capacità
2-12 players a game, 50 minutes, in Hungarian and English. 2-6 play comfortably, one at each station. A team pays about HUF 30,000-36,000, the level of an escape room ticket at Mystique.
Area
About 24-25 m², a compact square room. Quizy needs 20-25 m².
Quizy + Our Escape Rooms
Quizy plays at Tátra utca next to The Ring and The Witch, escape rooms we built for Mystique Room. Guests move between the formats: one group booked Quizy first, loved it and went straight on to an escape room. Together they bring more games from every guest.
From Revenue Share to Full Ownership
Mystique Room started on the revenue-share model: a lower price plus a small fee per player. Once bookings were steady, the owner bought out the license. Now the business is fully his, with no royalties.
Periodo di recupero previsto
About 6-7 months at Mystique Room. In the owner’s words, they broke even within 5 months on the revenue-share model. Mystique Room is our busiest Quizy location: about 70 games a month in the first nine months, 121 in its best month.

€31,990 for Quizy with 6 stations plus €2 per player per game, or €39,990 royalty-free (2026 list prices), production only. Delivery and installation come on top.

    The Mystique Room project shows how an escape room venue adds a quiz game show, pays it back fast and ends up owning it outright.
    01 · START

    The First Quizy in Hungary

    Mystique Room was our first Quizy client:
    • a compact 25 m² room at their second venue.
    • the revenue-share model, so the start cost less.
    • the same ticket level as their escape rooms.
    Quizy opened in spring 2024.
    02 · GROW

    A Slow Start, Then a Plan

    At first many guests did not know what a quiz game show was. Together we fixed it:
    • banners and posters made by our designer.
    • invitation tickets for a 10-minute test game after an escape room.
    • a bonus for game masters who sell Quizy, and online ads.
    After 2-3 months bookings climbed steadily.
    03 · OWN

    Paid Back and Bought Out

    With steady bookings the numbers spoke:
    • break-even within 5 months on revenue share, in the owner’s words.
    • about 6-7 months to pay back the whole investment.
    • then the license bought out, with no royalties.
    Today Quizy belongs fully to Mystique Room and plays next to our escape rooms.
