Football Academy Museum: History and Values in Interactive Showcases

For a football academy’s 55th anniversary we created an exhibition and leisure space in its foyer: it tells the history of the school and passes its values on to the young players who walk past every day.

The challenge

For the academy’s 55th anniversary, tell its history and pass its values on to young players.

What we did

An exhibition and leisure space in four zones. A timeline with multimedia stations, a model of the training grounds with drawers underneath holding original documents, pennants and kits, a wall of the school’s best players, and an installation on the values every player is taught.

A timeline of the school with multimedia stations to dig deeper into each period.

The grounds in miniature

A low-tech model of the training grounds; drawers underneath hold original documents, pennants and kits.

Players to admire

A wall of the best graduates: facts from their careers, quotes and personal items.

Values every player learns

An installation on the principles of the academy: honesty, discipline, team spirit.

A space to stay

The foyer works as a place to wait, meet and talk, not only as a museum.
